CORJ4000 - Create Communication Items

Purpose

To create Communication Items

SubSystem Correspondence
Normally Run By User generating Correspondence Items
Anticipated Frequency As required
Structure Block Create Communication Items
Buttons Find Course
Find Person

This job identifies the Communication Item recipients who satisfy its job parameters and then creates the required Communication Items. The created Communication Items will be registered for each Person that is sent correspondence.

Where errors are encountered in the processing of dynamic Person ID Groups, the failed person IDs are included in a person ID Group created for this purpose, and the job continues to run. After completion the user can check the error log for information on the job (S_LOG_TYPE = SN-COM-ITM). The error log contains information that advises the user whether the job completed with or without errors.

This log can be run using the parameter form Log Creation date parameter and the job will attempt to run the failed records. It is assumed that the user will attempt to rectify the problem that caused the error prior to re-running the job (the newly created log creation date entry will only be added after the parameter form is re-entered).

See Understanding Communication.

See Correspondence Template wizard (CORW0500).

See Correspondence Item wizard (CORW2000).

This job is accessed from the main menu and may be scheduled using JBSF5210.
