Purpose

To expire an approved Advanced Standing, where it has not yet been granted before its specified expiry date

This job updates the status of unit or unit level Advanced Standing records to 'EXPIRED' where:

• The Advanced Standing unit or unit level record has the status of 'APPROVED'
• The current date is after the specified Expiry Date for the unit/unit level record

Scheduled to run as a standing request through Job Scheduler.

The job is run in batch mode through the Job Control and Scheduling subsystem.

• It is typically scheduled to run nightly
• It should run after the associated job (Grant Advanced Standing - ADVJ4411), which resets the status for appropriate Advanced Standing applications to 'GRANTED'
• After processing, the Run Log in Job Scheduler (accessed via JBSF5300) records the number of applications that have been expired

If the user enters via the main menu, the following Message (6636) is displayed:

"No parameters exist for this job. Do you wish to schedule the job to run as soon as possible?"
