Purpose

This form allows for the recording of Self Serve Applications and Web Elements for the individual Admission Process Category Step Elements.

This information is utilised by the applications within the Online Admission system to identify the navigation (for example, next and previous) section of the steps.

Within this function an institution can define different Step Elements for different Cohorts. For example, an institution can have a step for recording application DIISRTE Statistics.

However, there are different Self Serve applications for Agents to record an applicant’s DIISRTE Statistics and for applicants to record their own DIISRTE Statistics. In this scenario, an institution would create a statistics Step Element for Agents, with an Agent Cohort and a link pointing to the Self Serve Application to allow Agents to record application DIISRTE Statistics. Within this function, an Institution would also create a statistics Step Element for applicants, with an applicant Cohort and a link pointing to the Self Serve Application to allow applicants to record their own DIISRTE Statistics.

In conjunction with the Cohort, will be a Rank. This will determine the order in which the Cohort Rules are checked.

If the Cohort is not defined for a Step Element, then this Step Element will be utilised by all applications (i.e. Agents, Applicants and Staff) within the Online Admission System.

An institution can also define different links with different Admission Step Statuses. For example, a link may be bolder and a different colour when the step has been completed. This allows for easy identification of the status of a step.

The different links can be defined for the System Values of ‘OPTIONAL’ (Step incomplete - Optional), ‘MANDATORY’ (Step incomplete - Mandatory), ‘COMPLETED’ (Step has been Completed), ‘UNDEFINED’ (Step is Undefined, this will be the default value), ‘NEXT’ (Next navigation representation) and ‘PREVIOUS’ (Previous navigation representation).

This form is accessed via the main menu and ADMF2M30 - in context of an Admission Process Category Step.

• Web Element Code
• Restriction Rule

Rules/Notes:

The following Validations are:

• Cannot utilise a closed Web Element Code
• Can only use a Web Element where the associated Web Element Type has an Admission Step
• Can only select Cohorts with a Rule Type of ‘COHORT-CC'
• Can only select self serve applications where the corresponding system self serve application has the admission step application check box set to Y
• Cannot utilise a Closed System Self Serve Application
• Must specify rank if Rule entered
• Must specify a Rule if Rank is entered
• Rank must be unique within each Admission Process Category Step Element
• Cannot utilise a Closed Cohort
• Must specify Restriction Rule and Rank if ADMISSION_CAT, S_ADMISSION_PROCESS_TYPE, S_ADMISSION_STEP_TYPE, ADMISSION_METHOD_TYPE, SELF_SERVE_APPLICATION and S_ADMISSION_STEP_STATUS are the same for multiple records, and one record with NULL Restriction Rule and Rank (this will be the catch all record for students that are not in one of the Cohorts)
