Use this form to record institution defined codes for Admission Test Types.

Codes can be used to indicate if tests an applicant may be required to complete, are eligible for a course. For example: the University Medicine Admission Test (UMAT).

This form allows the joining of Sub-Score Types to Admission Test Types. This permits institutions to define the Types of Sub-Scores that can be recorded against a specific Admission Test Type. For example, an English proficiency Admission Test may have Sub-Score Types relating to reading, writing and verbal skills.

This form can be accessed via the Callista menu.

 

The Admission Test Type block contains:

  • Admission Test Type
  • Description
  • System Admission Test Type (LOV)
    Enables the reporting of whether or not the test type was an English Proficiency test
  • Closed check box
    Prevents further use of Admission Test Type. They cannot be deleted
  • Teriary Admission Centre Test Type
    This enables the TAC Offer Load processes to identify which Admission Test Types should be used to record Test results contained in Offer files provided by TACs
  • Expiry Period
    A numeric value in months. Expiry Period defines the period of time after the Achieved Date during which results recorded against this Admission Test Type are valid. If the Expiry Period is not set, then the results are assumed to always be valid
  • Result Required check box
    Determines if Admission Test results that are recorded against the Admission Test Type require one of Score, Grade or Result Type to be recorded
  • Admission Course Application Context check box
    Used to determine if Admission Test results must be recorded with Admission Course Application (ACA) context or just Person context
  • Applicant Portal Available check box
    Used to indicate if this AdmissionTest Type is available i Applicant Portal
  • Explanation
    Large text field to describe test type. This information is displayed in Applicant Portal

The Admission Test Sub-Score Type block contains:

  • Sub-Score Type (LOV)
  • Description
  • Closed check box

Rules/Notes:

Cannot create an Admission Test Sub-Score Type for a closed Sub-Score Type.

Cannot delete Admission Test Sub-Score Type while Admission Test Sub-Scores are mapped to it.

Columns in System Admission Test Type LOV are:

Columns in Sub-Score Type LOV are:

  • Sub-Score Type
  • Description
  • Closed

The Validation for the TAC Test Type is:

  • The Tertiary Admission Centre Test Type can be mapped to only one Admission Test Type

The data maintained in this form is used in the Record Special Admission Test Score form (ADMF3518).

Sub-Score Type data is maintained in Maintain Sub-Score Type (ADMF0440).

 

Rules/Notes:

Once used in the System, Admission Test Type codes cannot be deleted. Select the Closed check box to prevent further use.

Once used in the System, only minor description modifications should be carried out.
