Maintain Web Page Body

This form is used to create and maintain web page body elements for use in web pages.

A web page body establishes the background colour and/or background image for a page, and the colours for any links included in the page.

The web page body can be used as an alternative to adding elements in Connect Builder. Web elements can be embedded into the page body, ordered and positioned as required using HTML tags. This web page body is then inserted into a web page either through Connect Builder or through the Maintain Web Page form with the page inheriting the web bodies web elements.

For more details on the creation of web pages refer to the specialist topic Understanding the Web Administrator.

The Colour Chooser palette is used to select a colour for the background, links or text. When the Colour Change button is selected, the Colour Chooser window is displayed. Optionally:

  • Select a colour from the colour palette available; or
  • Enter the hexadecimal code for a colour and select the Select Custom Colour button to insert the colour against attribute; or
  • If a colour has previously been recorded for the attribute, it can be cleared by selecting the Clear button. Selecting the Clear button removes any colour reference for the attribute. This is indicated by an exclamation mark in the colour indicator beside the attribute.
