Government Statistical Local Areas are unique within a State or Territory. The complete set of valid Government Statistical Local Areas can be found on the ABS web site, in the Statistical Concepts Library (http://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats). Government Statistical Local Areas are recorded against Locations of type CAMPUS and are reported in the NAT00020 Training Provider Location AVETMISS File. Refer to the following example:

To create a new Government Statistical Local Area:

Rules/Notes: Government Statistical Local Area MUST be unique for each state. The System State Code must not be closed. |
To modify a Government Statistical Local Area:

Rules/Notes: Once in use, a Government Statistical Local Area should not be modified. |
To delete a Government Statistical Local Area:
|
Rules/Notes: A System State Code cannot be deleted once it has been used in Maintain Locations (ORGF0131). |
