STAF112W - Maintain Government State

Purpose

This function enables the recording of a Government State in the System State Table

Use this function to record a Government State in the System State Table (S_STATE). This form sets up Government requirements for different AVETMISS files.

The table below shows information that could potentially be stored in the System using this function. Government State values for each sector are contained within this table:

This form is accessed through the main menu.

 

The Government State block contains:

  • Govt State
  • Description
  • System State
  • Sector
  • Closed check box
Rules/Notes:

To create a new Government State:

  • Enter Insert mode
  • Enter the new code in the Government State field of a blank record
  • Enter the corresponding description for the Government State in the Description field
  • Save

Rules/Notes:

Government State codes MUST be unique. 

A Government State record cannot be created for a closed System State.

To modify a Government State:

  • Find the record to be modified
  • Modify the record as required
  • Save

Rules/Notes:

Once in use, a Government State should not be modified.

A Government State cannot be reopened if it is mapped to a closed System State.

To delete a Government State:

  • Find the record to be deleted
  • Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted
  • Delete record
  • Save

Rules/Notes:

A Government State can be closed preventing any further use by selecting the Closed check box.
