Purpose

To record Cohort Categories for use in defining Cohorts

General

This form is used to define groups of Cohorts. There is the potential for Cohorts to be used widely in Callista. In the future, they may be used to run reports for specific groups of students more easily defined through Cohort Rules than through the available report parameters. As the Cohorts functionality is enhanced, the number of available Cohorts may become quite large. By grouping Cohorts by Categories created in this form, Cohort Categories may be used to narrow the list of Cohorts viewed.

The Cohort Category block contains:

• Cohort Category
• Description
• Closed check box

Define a Cohort Category and meaningful description.

A Cohort Category can be mapped against a Cohort in the Maintain Cohort Category Mappings form (GENF1020).

Rules/Notes:

Cohort Categories cannot be deleted if a dependent Cohort Mapping exists in GENF1020.
