Structure  Block Fee Contract Type

This form provides institutions with the ability to define and maintain institution-specific fee contract types. These institution-specified values will then be used to define the characteristics by which a Contract Fee Assessment Rate record is recognised. The Fee Contract Types created in this form are used in FINF2900 Maintain Contract Fee Assessment Rates.

FINF1P00 is invoked from the main menu.

The Fee Contract Type block contains:

  • Fee Contract Type
  • Description
  • Variable Rate check box
  • System Default check box
  • Closed check box

Rule/Notes:

To create a new Fee Contract Type perform the following:

  • Enter the a name in the Fee Contract Type field
  • Enter a description in the Description Fee
  • Check the Variable Rate check box if the Fee Contract Type is to be identified as existing under a rate variation policy

Selecting the System Default check box sets that Fee Contract Type as the default for the system. Only one Fee Contract Type can be the System Default.

Selecting the Closed check box makes that Fee Contract Type unavailable to other forms in the Finance System.

Rule/Notes:

One open Fee Contract Type must be set as the System Default by selecting the System Default check box.

The details of a fee contract type cannot be modified if the fee contract type has been associated with one or more Contract Fee Assessment Rates. In such cases, a new fee contract type should be created with the varying detail required.

At least one fee contract type record must exist with the closed indicator field set to ‘N’.
