CRSF1600 - Maintain Course Version Type of Place

Purpose

To enable the association of Types of Places with a particular Course Version

The purpose of this function is to enable an administrator to map institution-defined Types of Place to an individual Course Version. This will be used in the Applicant Portal Record Course Detail function to determine which Types of Place an applicant can select, based on the Course Offering Option they have chosen.

This form can be accessed via the Type of Place button accessed via the Other Course Detail button in CRSF1210.

 

The Course Version block contains:

  • Course Code
  • Version Number
  • Status
  • Title

The Type of Place block contains:

  • Type of Place Code
  • Description

Rules/Notes:

 

To associate a Type of Place with a particular Course Version:

  • Enter this form in the context of the Course Version.
  • Select a Type of Place value (Description is inherited from that defined for this Type of Placement in ADMF0600.
  • Save record.

 

Rules/Notes:

When entering into this form, if the System Course Status of the context block Course Version is ‘INACTIVE', an error message will be displayed to the users that the Course Version details cannot be updated.

The detail block will be ‘query only' when the Course Version Status is ‘INACTIVE'.

If a Type of Place is closed, then it cannot be used to create a Course Version Type of Place.
