VET MATTERS

Christine Robertson Dear Colleagues,

I am very excited to announce yet another “win” for CDU VET in this edition of VET Matters.

Our CDU VET Brand Campaign - Come and see more with us at Charles Darwin University VET - has won a Gold award in the Innovation in Brand Development category and a Silver award in the Innovation in Brand Renovation/Re-Branding category at the 2018 Asia Pacific Stevie Awards for Excellence in Business Innovation.

The Stevie Awards – widely considered to be the world’s premier business awards -  are the only awards to recognize business innovation in the workplace in all 22 nations of the Asia-Pacific region. More than 800 nominations from organizations across the region were considered for Gold, Silver and Bronze awards this year.

The design process for our CDU VET Brand engaged VET staff teams across our NT campuses as we worked with our CDU Marketing Team and the LEAP Agency to develop unique and contemporary images and stories to creatively communicate key elements of what it means to be the premier VET Provider in the top end of Australia.

Our distinctive VET Brand has significantly lifted the visibility and positioning of VET at CDU, helped to instil a new sense of pride in our staff and students and assisted in presenting an attractive value proposition to our government, community and industry partners.

The awards will be presented to the Vice Chancellor at a gala event in Hong Kong in early June.

I look forward to continuing to share important news of our VET initiatives and activities as well as student and staff achievements over the coming months.
