Abstract
Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) is committed to collaboration in higher education and internationalisation with a strong focus on partnerships with institutions of higher learning, NGO’s, Community and industry. Dr Aurah will present on the importance of building a partnership between Charles Darwin university and MMUST and discuss the following opportunities for collaboration:

  1. Capacity building
  2. Joint Research collaboration with higher education and allied institutions which promote quality and excellence in its core business of teaching, research and community engagement.
  3. Staff and student exchange
  4. Joint publications
  5. Joint supervision of post graduate students
  6. Sharing of teaching and learning resources
  7. Joint grant proposal writing and resource mobilisation

About Dr Catherine Aurah
Dr Catherine Aurah is a dedicated and compassionate educator who specialises in the field of Science Education. She is the Director of Directorate of International Relations and Academic Linkages (DIAL) at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, Kenya. She holds a Doctor of Education in Science Education and Masters of Arts in Educational Psychology from the Ball State University USA, as well as a Masters of Science in Environmental Education from the Masinde Muliro University, and a Bachelor of Education (Science) from the Moi University, Kenya. She is a member of the African Network for Internationalization of Education (ANIE), Honors Society of Ball State University and the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) USA. Catherine’s research interests are Teaching and Learning in Science: Innovative ways and Psychosocial factors influencing learning outcomes in science education.
