WorldSkills Australia is part of an international movement that promotes and builds a skills culture, celebrates excellence and showcases vocational education and training.

Lachlan Marr, a CDU Plumbing lecturer was approached recently by the NTG WorldSkills organiser to attend a forum on their behalf at the WorldSkills Australia Regional Workshop held in Melbourne in November 2017.   This represents significant recognition of Lachlan’s dedication, skills and expertise in not only in his expertise as a plumber and lecturer, but also the ongoing work that he has contributed towards WorldSkills over the past few years.

Lachlan has now been invited to attend in 2018 as a Team Leader for the NT representing the male contenders competing in the WorldSkills for Plumbing.

Lachlan brings significant skills, knowledge, enthusiasm and expertise to the WorldSkills stage in the Northern Territory.  Lachlan has been instrumental in the organisation and participation of several regional competitions held in the Northern Territory.

WorldSkills has now formally recognised Lachlan for his involvement in WorldSkills over the past seven years as previously attended annually as a judge from 2011 onwards and was issued with an award of a Certificate of Appreciation.

Congratulations Lachlan, we appreciate your ongoing contribution.

We encourage all teams to participate in WorldSkills - it’s a great way to showcase and recognise the great work that you and your students do here at CDU and in the Northern Territory.
