Tracking Item Step

Explanation
This block holds context information carried from the calling form, Maintain Tracking Items (TRKF2100). The tracking item step to which a note relates is identified by its step number within the tracking item to which it belongs, and by description of the step.

This form is accessed only from TRKF2100, where a particular step is selected. Inquiries on notes for other than the context step cannot be made here.

Explanation
Notes for tracking steps are grouped according to type, and a type must be specified when creating a note.

Notes may be created, stored and retrieved in almost any format. The currently available formats are:

  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Text
  • Other OLE (permitting virtually any other format)

Note:

  • NCA notes are currently available in Text format only. Future Developments might enable the portablitiy of all other formats.

Instructions to create and edit notes are given under Notes Facility in the General System Functions and Facilities section.

Example
A tracking item step may have a note recorded against it of tracking note type COMMENT and format type TEXT, containing text such as 'Assessor on sick leave. Sent to W Bloggs.'.
