a record in the System can be linked to other records in a one-to-one or one-to-many relationship. The linked records may be in a superior (parent) or subordinate (child) relationship to it. In this way, the System represents real life structures. For example, a faculty comprising several schools can be represented in the System as 'children' schools of a 'parent' faculty. |
