This job can also be used to produce an exception list for the outgoing electronic message.

Destination Type

Select the appropriate Destination Type for this job run:

Destination Format

Select the appropriate Destination Format for this job run:

  • PDF
  • HTML
  • Postscript

Destination Name

Type a Destination Name for the results of this job run. This name is used as the file name if the destination type selected is file.

Number of Copies

Nominate the number of copies to produce during this job run.

Comment

Add any applicable comment for this job run.

Job Process

This is a manual process to create and send an e-mail to either an individual (Person ID) or a group (Person ID Group).

Retrieve Errors from Previous Job Run

Using this job form you can also retrieve errors from the previous job run.

 

 

Run Details

 Sending an electronic message is run through the Job Control & Scheduling subsystem.

 

Job Procedures

Create and send an e-mail.

Step 1. On the Parameters tab:

Type the Person ID or Person ID Group number. The details for the specified ID are displayed in the description field.

Step 2. On the More tab:

  1. Type the message to be sent via e-mail. You can also paste text into this field using CTRL V.
  2. Click on either the Schedule ASAP icon or the Schedule icon.

Note: You can only send e-mail messages using Schedule ASAP or Schedule. Do not use Run to send an e-mail message.

Create an exception report.

On the Parameters tab:

  1. Select the job run to retrieve by typing a search value in the Log Creation Date and clicking the List of Values button or just clicking the List of Values button. This displays the applicable list of values for this job.
    • Log Creation Date
    • System Log Type
    • Correspondence Type
    • Reference Number
  2. Locate the job to retrieve, highlight it and click on the OK button.
  3. Click on the Run icon to begin the retrieval process.
