Date Alias Instance |
Explanation |
This form is accessed via the date alias icon
When used for the latter purpose, the form returns current and future instances of date aliases when queried. Naming a date alias (or part thereof) and/or a calendar type (or part thereof) enables a subset of date alias instances to be accessed. |
Example |
A user enters the teaching calendar type YR-LONG in the Calendar Type field, and executes the query. All date aliases with instances falling on or after the current date which are associated with any instance of YR-LONG are returned and can be viewed, record by record. To limit the search further, a particular instance of YR-LONG could have been selected from the list of values, and CEN% entered in the Date Alias field. The system would return any dates for CENSUS (in this case, the only date alias matching the search criterion) in that instance of YR-LONG. |
