This process automatically creates a correspondence item for those notification letters produced from this report.

 

Run Details

This job is run:

  • After special consideration applications have been reviewed.
  • At any time deemed necessary for whatever reason.

This job is run during assessment periods to provide students with notification of the outcome of their special consideration applications.

It is recommended that this job be run in batch mode. However, it can be run online, particularly where the report is run with parameters specifying a small data set, such as a specific person ID or unit code.

Job Parameters

Most parameters for this job are used to refine the data set produced in the report.

The Person ID parameter allows notification letters to be run for individual students.

The Date Range parameters allow the report to be run for applications that have been RECEIVED within the specified dates.

There are two text parameters that allow the user to enter data. They are:

  • Introductory message.
  • Special instructions.

Both of these are free text parameter fields that can be defined in the Maintain Job Text form (JBSF4170).

Signatory and Signatory Title are free-entry fields similar to comments fields.

There are two sort combinations that can be selected from the LOV.

The report is presented in portrait mode.

Where a student has application details for more than one course attempt, all details are included in a single letter provided an outcome has been reported and the details have not been advised in a previous letter.

The student address is aligned so that it appears, when folded, in a window faced envelope.
