Run Details

This job is run:

  • At intervals during assessment periods.
  • At any time deemed necessary for whatever reason.

This job is run during assessment periods to provide information which can be used to:

  • Assist Boards of Examiners.
  • Assist in the 'clean-up' processes by running 'finalised' INCOMPLETE results.

It is recommended that this job be run in batch mode. However, it can be run online, particularly where the report is run with parameters specifying a small data set, such as a specific Unit Code.

Refer to the Job Control and Scheduling subsystem for details of scheduling and running batch and online jobs.

Job Parameters

Most parameters in this report are to refine the data displayed. Several have further functions. They are:

  • The Include Child Organisation Units parameter determines if details of the top-level owner or direct owner of units are displayed in the report. If child org units are not included, the top-level owner of the unit is displayed. Otherwise, the direct owner is displayed. For example, units may be directly owned by schools, which are in turn owned by faculties. If the parameter value is 'No', faculty rather than school details are displayed in the Organisational Unit field. If 'YES', school details are displayed.
  • Four text fields that enable the user to specify institution specific terms for Examination Board and Assessment Panel Chairs, for display at the end of each unit list. The parameters are Chair of Examination Board Name Label, Chair of Examination Board Signature Label, Chair of Assessment Panel Name Label, and Chair of Assessment Panel Signature Label.
  • Grade Type - allows for the selection of RECOMMENDED, RECOMMENDED (NO PREVIOUS FINALISED), FINALISED and both RECOMMENDED and FINALISED grades. The Grade Type of the latest outcome is selected.
  • System Result Type - defaults to ALL, however, a particular type may be selected. This parameter is particularly useful for reporting on INCOMPLETE grades.
  • Sort Combinations can be selected from the 'Sort By' LOV.

The report is presented in landscape mode.

It can display RECOMMENDED outcomes, FINALISED outcomes or both. Where the report displays both, an extra label indicates if the outcome is R - RECOMMENDED or F - FINALISED.
