Run Details

This job is run:

  • At intervals during an assessment period.
  • At any time deemed necessary for whatever reason.

This job is run during assessment periods to advise unit coordinators and/or unit contacts of students with unresolved special consideration applications.

It is recommended that this job be run in batch mode. However, it can be run online, particularly where the report is run with parameters specifying a small data set, such as a specific unit code.

Refer to the Job Control and Scheduling subsystem for details of scheduling and running batch jobs.

Job Parameters

Most parameters available within this report are used to refine the information produced. However, several parameters have different effects. They are:

  • Application received date range parameter - this is typically set to the Default Start Date + 1 where the Default Start Date is the last time the report was run. Each time this report is scheduled to run it will generally select those applications created after the previous run unless otherwise specified by the user. However, if the report is run twice on the same day, changes performed since the first run will not be selected.
  • Include Unit Coordinators and Unit Contacts parameter - this defines whether the Unit Contact, Unit Coordinator or both are displayed on each page of the report.
  • Unit Coordinator/Contact Address Type parameter - displays the contact telephone number for the unit coordinator. Note: unlike parameters in other reports, if a specific address type is not selected in this parameter leaving the '%' displayed, no contact phone number is displayed. The normal operation of the '%' in other parameters is to display ALL of the options.
  • Message 1 and Message 2 fields - these are used in the frontice page of the report. Select the required messages from the LOV's.
  • Message 3 field - used for further details below the contact/coordinator details in the body of the report.
  • Sort Combinations - several sort combinations are available to allow the user to define the report output.
  • Unit Coordinator Title and Chair of Board of Examiners Title - used to define the names of the two signature panels at the bottom of each page of the report. For example: an institution's name for 'Unit Coordinator' might be 'Chair of Assessment Panel'.
