Run Details

This job is run:

  • Prior to the start of each major examination period.
  • Throughout examination periods to provide documentary evidence of significant changes.
  • As needed for commercial clients.
  • At any time deemed necessary for whatever reason.

It is recommended that this job be run in batch mode. However, it can be run online, particularly where the report is run with parameters specifying a small data set, such as a specific unit code.

Refer to the Job Control and Scheduling subsystem for details on scheduling and running batch and online jobs.

Job Parameters

Most parameters for this job are used to refine the data set produced in the report.

The Examination Location parameter contains examination locations that have venues that have availabilities. The parameter is an unrestricted LOV.

The Covering Letter parameter allows cover letters to be included. It is likely that cover letters would not be printed for internal (CAMPUS) exam locations.

There are two text parameters that allow the user to enter data. They are:

  • Introduction; and
  • Signatory.

By default, the text fields will insert the most recently used text. Text messages can be recorded in the Maintain Job Text form (JBSF4170).

The Return Organisational Unit and Return Address Type parameters list which organisational unit should be contacted if any errors are found and details of how to contact them. These two fields are mandatory. Note: a valid return address type must be selected for the organisational unit.
