This form is used to create and maintain lists of enquiry package items for particular levels of enquiry. Enquiries can be general for the institution or specific for an organisational unit, discipline or course.

For further details on recording admission enquiries refer to the Understanding Admissions overview.

To create an enquiry package:

  • Record the institution defined enquiry package item. For example: HANDBOOK, HECS GUIDE, RESIDENCE (guide).
  • System Generated indicates that the package item is a correspondence item produced by Callista. There is no functionality associated with this at this time.
  • Indicate whether the enquiry package item is available. Where the item is not available, a date can be recorded indicating when the item will become available.
  • Select the Level Type Package button to allow the recording of enquiry level type package items.
  • Map enquiry information type items and course package items in the same way as level type package items. Information type items are recorded in the Maintain Enquiry Information Type form (ADMF1130). Course enquiry package items are maintained in the Course Enquiry Package Item form (ADMF1154).

Enquiry package items can be retrieved by querying the system. This allows for the maintenance of package items.

The data in this form is used to generate a list of enquiry package items according to the details recorded for an applicant in the Record Admission Enquiry form (ADMF1200). Package items are displayed by selecting the Package Item button in ADMF1200.

Rules:

  • New enquiry package items default to available.
  • Enquiry package items must be unique.
  • Where the Available indicator has been selected, an Available Date cannot be recorded.
  • Once used in the System, enquiry package items cannot be deleted. Select the Closed indicator to prevent further use.
  • A warning is displayed when attempting to Close an enquiry package item where the item has been used in other packages. For example: an information type package.
