STAF112C - Maintain Government Attendance Modes

Purpose To allow the creation and maintenance of Government attendance modes in accordance with the Documentation for the Higher Education Student Collection

The Attendance Modes button links to CRSF1160 (Course Attendance Mode))

Explanation

Universities are required to report to Government statistics concerning courses offered and enrolments in courses. These statistics include the attendance mode of each enrolled student. This is recorded as the Government Attendance Mode (element 329). Where a set of institution defined attendance modes has been defined (CRSF1160), each must be mapped to a particular Government attendance mode.

 

To create a new Government attendance mode record using the Maintain Government Attendance Modes form:

  • Enter Insert Mode
  • Enter the new code in the Govt Attendance Mode field of a blank record
  • Enter the corresponding description for the code in the Description field
  • Save
 

To delete a Government attendance mode record using the Maintain Government Attendance Modes form:

  • Find the record to be deleted
  • Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted
  • Delete record.
  • Save

Rules/Notes:

A Government Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander code can only be modified where the change is to correct an incorrectly entered description.

To modify a Government attendance mode record using the Maintain Government Attendance Modes form:

  • Find the record to be modified
  • Modify the record as required
  • Save

Rules/Notes:

A Government Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander code cannot be deleted if it has been assigned to a user defined Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander code. It can be closed, preventing any further use, by selecting the Closed check box.

Changes within this form will have the following notable effects:

Adding a Government attendance mode permits its use in the definition of an institution defined attendance mode and hence for Government reporting.
