This form is used to display information on the transaction performed by students when accessing and using Callista Connect and any of its applications. These transactions can be errors, warnings or information. The form is typically used when a student advises that they cannot access Callista Connect or a particular application (for example: Results). Users can query the student's record and provide advice on the reasons for the problems experienced. For example: a student may be unable to access the Results application and seeks assistance from the Student Help Desk. Viewing their Activity Log might reveal that there is not a valid Cohort Process Window for the student or that they have a Results Block Encumbrance applied. The activities/transactions recorded in the activity log are those where the Include in Activity Log check box has been selected for the Self Serve Message in GENF0003 (Maintain System Message). If a self serve message has not been recorded, the system message is inserted by default. Where an activity is not to be recorded, a self serve message must be recorded for the activity and the Include in Activity Log check box not selected. To prevent large numbers of records from being displayed, a process can be run to remove all logged messages older than a specified number of days. For example: the process could be run once a week to remove any messages that are older than seven days. For further details refer to Delete Self Serve Activity Log process (SSFJ0010). |

Rules/Notes: More specific queries can be performed to narrow the search. For example: searching on %ERROR% in the Text Details field will narrow the search to error messages only. Searching on %M300% in the Key field will narrow the search to entries specific to course attempt M300. This returns the activity log for the student. All transactions performed are displayed in reverse chronological order (ie. most recent first). |
