Structure | Block | Research Calendar Configuration |
To ensure correct calculation of various date values and EFTSL in the Research sub-system, the system uses two pre-defined date variables (Effective Start Date and Effective End Date). Because Callista allows institutions to define names for all Date Aliases (using CALF0420), this form provides the facility to link the institution Date Alias name to the system pre-defined date variable. Use these links for further explanation of calendar configuration in general and for use in the research subsystem. |
The Research Calendar Configuration block contains:

Rules/Notes:
|
Use the List of Values and select the previously defined Date Alias names that are to be used by the institution to represent the Effective Start and Effective End Dates for a Research Teaching period. Two Date Aliases are already defined and linked to the system date variables (RES-START, RES-END). |
Rules/Notes: The existing Date Aliases need not be changed unless there are existing institution names that must be used. Where a different Date Alias is to be used, the Date Alias must be defined in CALF0420 before it can be selected from the LOV. A 'CLOSED' Date Alias cannot be used. |
