This form is used to record the institution-defined Thesis Result codes. Each Thesis Result code must map to a System Thesis Result Code. It is recommended that this mapping be a one-to-one relationship. It is also recommended that System codes be used for the institution defined codes, if possible. Comments can be added to provide additional details about a result code. Modifications can be made to the Description, System Thesis Result Code mapping and the Comments fields. It is recommended that these modifications be restricted to the Description or Comments fields once the Thesis Result Codes are being used in the system. The Thesis Result Code entry cannot be modified, after it has been committed. |
Rules/Notes: A Thesis Result Code entry must be unique The system-defined result codes are: 'FAIL', 'FAIL-ALT', 'MINOR-REV', 'NO RESULT', 'PASS', 'REV-MAJOR' The System codes have a Final Result indicator. Two of the codes ('MINOR-REV' and 'REV-MAJOR') have this indicator set to 'N', to allow for revision and resubmission of a thesis. Once used in the system, a Thesis Result code cannot be deleted. Select the Closed indicator to prevent future use. |
