This form is used to register persons who will receive notification of job or report run statuses via email and/or SMS. The benefit of receiving this notification is particularly evident when university staff are required to monitor long running jobs or reports especially during out-of-office hours. It merges the previously existing email processing with SMS functionality. This form is accessed via the Request Job Notification navigation button in the context of the selected job request in JBSF5300 or JBSF5210. |

Rules/Notes: If the Running To Completed check box is selected for a Person ID in the Request Job Notification block, then that person will receive an email and/or SMS when the status for the context job request changes from RUNNING to COMPLETED. If the Running To Failed check box is selected for a Person ID in the Request Job Notification block, then that person will receive an email and/or SMS when the status for the context job request changes from RUNNING to FAILED. The Notify SMS Phone Number must be numeric and contain no blank spaces. Either the ‘Notify Email Address' or ‘Notify SMS Phone Number' must be set and either the ‘Running to Completed' or ‘Running to Failed' indicators must be checked. The Person ID must exist in Person Table. For any record in the Request Job Notification block, the Email Address, SMS number, Run to Completion and Run to Fail values for the user will default to information held within SECF0066. If the Always Send Notication check box is selected in SECF0066, then the default information will be automatically saved and that notification will be sent - unless it is deleted in this form in each case. If the Always Send Notication check box is not selected in SECF0066, then the default information for the job requester will visible in the form, but must be saved for notification to be sent. Additional persons to recieve email or SMS notification for this job request can also be added here. |
