Purpose

This job generates communications for late proposal workflow instances and Online Graduation Eligibility (CORJ5000 must then be run to actually send the communications).

This job should be scheduled to run daily.

This job generates Communication Items for late workflow instances relating to Proposals and Online Graduation Eligibility. These Communication Items can then be sent by running CORJ5000 - the Send Approved Communications job. See CORJ5000 for information about how that job recognises the Communication Items to be sent and how it assembles the content of the Communication Item or Group. See CORW2690 for information about Communication Groups.

In the case of Proposals, the Communication Items will be generated for all reviewers who have not completed the current workflow step when the due date has elapsed. The Communication Types generated are those recorded in GENF4820 when the Communication Event = LATE-WS. If a Communication Item is not successfully created in response to the occurrence of a communication event then an error will be recorded in the s_error_log table. e.g. If the system message content type is POSTSCRIPT. It will error with message number 16838 and message text of ‘Communication Types with a System Message Delivery Type of EMAIL and a System Message Content Type of POSTSCRIPT are not supported by this process.’

The Run Log for this job can be used to identify the Communication Items that have been created and those that failed.

This job is not initiated by any buttons or parameter forms. It is scheduled using the Callista Job Scheduler to deliver the email messages that have been scheduled for delivery to Proposals users and graduands. For information relating to the Callista Job Scheduler see JBSF5210.
