Block Review of Course Version Creation Report
Tab Parameters
Button Find Course

This job is run:

  • After the creation of new course versions (for example, via a rollover).
  • At any time deemed necessary for whatever reason.

The report provides a listing of Course Version details that have NOT been successfully copied to a New Course Version from an Old Course Version. It is not a report of errors, but rather a list of what is not in the new that was in the old, and therefore represents what was not copied or rolled over.

This report is auto-generated when a New Course Version is created from an existing Course Version (in the Basic Course Details form (CRSF1210) and the system is unable to copy all details from the Old to the New Version. For example, an Owning Organisational Unit may have been made inactive and therefore cannot be linked to the New Version.

The report may also be run manually by inserting the Old and New Course Version details in the user Parameter fields (for example, to view the difference between the two versions of a course). It can be run in both batch and online modes.

Refer to the Job Control and Scheduling subsystem for details of scheduling and running batch and online jobs.

The Review of Course Version Creation Report block contains:

Parameters Tab

  • Old Course Code
  • Old Course Version
  • New Course Code
  • New Course Version

    Button

    • Find Course

When run manually the Old and New Course Codes and Version numbers must be specified.

The Find Course function  should be used to locate particular Course Versions.

Rules/Notes:

The report is presented in landscape mode.

The report includes:

  • Course Plan Structure versions (CRSW2005) that could not be copied to the New Course version, where a Course Plan Structure version associated with the Old Course version is INACTIVE at the time.
  • Course Plan Structure Versions (listed against the old Course Version) that could not be copied to the New Course version because the Course Code (of the new course) has been changed.
