This job identifies Course Offering Patterns (COPs), or groups of COPs, based on specified selection criteria, and creates Applicant Portal Admission Period Override date values for each of the following Applicant Types:
The job can be run to:
The job will locate COPs based on the following criteria:
This job is run in Immediate or Schedule mode. For more information, see the Job Control & Scheduling Subsystem. It would normally be run when institutions wish to update overrides for multiple COPs at one time (for example, make all COPs for a particular Course Code unavailable for Domestic Applicants). Details in the Bulk COP Overrides Exception Report are sorted by Location, Attendance Mode and Attendence Type. |
The Parameters block contains: Parameters Tab
|
Rules/Notes: The Academic Year parameter is mandatory. All other parameters are optional. The Course Version button accesses the Find Course form (ADMF1220) from where the user can find a Course Version for the Course Code. The Admission Category and Reference Code Type differ from the other match criteria in that they are not unique for a Course Offering Pattern (for example, a course may have multiple Reference Codes, with many different types). If a Reference Code Type is specified as a match criterion, then the search will find all courses that have Reference Codes with that specific Reference Code Type, even if the course has Reference Codes with other Reference Code Types. If the 'Delete all Overrides for matching Course Offering Patterns' checkbox is checked then all Applicant Portal Admission Period Override records for any matching COP will be deleted. |
The Applicant Portal Admission Period Override block contains: More Tab
|
Rules/Notes: If an Admission Period is specified, the default start and end dates (derived through CALF0220 and ADMF0900) are displayed in the corresponding fields on the parameter form. When the 'Delete all overrides for Course Offering Patterns' checkbox (on the Parameters tab) is unchecked, the Admission Period and either the date values or the Clear Existing checkbox (in the More tab), must be defined for at least one Applicant Type. When the 'Delete all overrides for Course Offering Patterns' checkbox (on the Parameters tab) is checked, the user is not able to enter values in the Admission Period, Start Dates, End Dates, Clear Existing or Replace Existing fields. If an override record matching the specified Admission Period does not already exist for the COP, then one will be created when the job is run. If an override record matching the specified Admission period exists, but the override dates for the Applicant Type specified in the parameter does not exist, then the override dates will be updated. If an override record matching the specified Admission Period exists, and override dates for the Applicant Type specified in the parameter also exist, the job will not update these values, and an exception report is produced.
