STAF8000 - Maintain VET Enr Statistics Snapshot Control - VET only

Purpose

To manage the VET Enrolment Statistics Snapshots.

Each snapshot will involve large volumes of data, and it is likely that only a small proportion of snapshots created will need to be saved for future reference. The Statistics specialist is able to indicate which snapshots are no longer required. Comments can be recorded against snapshots; these comments may indicate why the snapshot has been retained in the system.

There is one table involved in STAF8000. It is:

  • ENR_STAT_SNAPSHOT_CTL_VET (creates the Control Record for the snapshot)

VET Enrolment Statistics Snapshot Control block:

  • Snapshot Date
  • Delete check box
  • Comments

 

Rules/Notes:

An Enrolment Statistics Snapshot cannot be marked for deletion if it is used in a Government Snapshot.

Use this form to manage the Enrolment Statistics Snapshots by:

  • Displaying details of all currently saved Enrolment Statistics Snapshots, including the Date and Time they were created.
  • Indicating which Snapshots are to be saved and which are to be deleted by the Delete VET Enrolments Statistics Snapshots process (STAJ8002). Note that all Snapshots are created with their Delete check box set. Deselect this check box to stop a snapshot being deleted.
  • Permitting comments to be entered against individual Snapshot records (logically only those with their Delete check box deselected).

Rules/Notes:

The parameters used when running the Create Enrolment Statistics Snapshot job (STAJ8000) (Academic Period, Collection Year) are automatically recorded in the comments field of the snapshot record, in this form.

The table involved in this process is:

ENR_STAT_SNAPSHOT_CTL_VET Reason/Explanation:
SNAPSHOT_DT_TIME The Date of the Snapshot. Defined in STAJ8000. 
DELETE_SNAPSHOT_IND The Delete checkbox in STAF8000. Cannot delete if already used in Government Snapshot. 
UPDATE_WHO The name of the user who last updated the record.  
UPDATE_ON The Date and Time the record was last updated.  
COMMENTS Default value set by STAJ8000. 'Submission Year' yyyy parameter to STAJ8000. User defined Comments can be further maintained in STAF8000.
