Government Training Organisations are recorded for a Course Version and are reported in the NAT00010 Training Organisation File. This form sets up Government requirements for ORGF0141 - Maintain Organisational Units.

A training organisation may directly provide training or coordinate the provision of training. It may be an Organisation that delivers its services through a network of colleges or a private institution with one or more campuses. It may also be a state body that does not provide training directly, but consolidates data from other providers for the national data collection.

The Government Training Organisation block contains:

  • Org Unit Code
  • Start Date
  • End Date
  • Description
  • Title
  • Short Title
  • Local check box
  • Closed check box

 Rules/Notes:

To create a new Government Training Organisation:

  • Enter Insert mode.
  • Enter the new code in the Government Training Organisation field of a blank record.
  • Enter the corresponding description for the Government Training Organisation in the Description field.
  • Save.

Rules/Notes:

Government Training Organisation Codes MUST be unique. 

A Government Training Organisation record can only be created for an active Organisational Unit.

One and only one Government Training Organisation can have the Local indicator set to Yes.

Government Training Organisation codes must be 3 characters in length.

To modify a Government Training Organisation:

  • Find the record to be modified.
  • Modify the record as required.
  • Save.

Rules/Notes:

Once in use, a Government Training Organisation should not be modified.

To delete a Government Training Organisation:

  • Find the record to be deleted.
  • Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted.
  • Delete record.
  • Save.

Rules/Notes:

A Government Training Organisation Code can be closed preventing any further use by selecting the Closed check box.
