Performs bulk Verification checks on Person Scholarships

This job performs a Verification check for each Person with a Person Scholarship matching the defined parameters, and who has an Activity Status of NORMAL or PART-TIME in the defined Management Period.

The job checks each Verification Rule against the Scholarship Person’s data, and if the rule passes, it sets the Rule Outcome to a value of SUCCESSFUL. If the check is unsuccessful, it sets the Rule Outcome to UNSUCCESSFUL and log the rule fail message to the extract.

If the Check Manual Verification Criteria check box is selected, this job checks all rules and also checks that each Person Scholarship Manual Verification Criterion has had a result defined.
If both the Rule check and the Manual check are successful then the Overall Verification Status is set to a value mapped to a system value of SUCCESSFUL.
If the Rule check is successful but the manual check is not, the status will be set to a value mapped to a system value of FAIL-MAN.
If the Manual check is successful and the Rule check is not it will be set to a value mapped to a system value of FAIL-RULE.
If both checks fail the status will be a value mapped to a system value of FAIL-ALL. In all cases an appropriate message will be sent to the extract.

If the Check Manual Verification Criteria check box is not selected, then the job will perform a rule check only and will set the Rule Check Status(es), but not the Overall Status.

The job only updates the Rule Outcome, even if an Override Outcome doesn't exist. If the Remove Overridden Outcomes checkbox is set to Y the job will clear any Overrides that have been set for any records that it updates and evaluate the rule.

This job produces an extract which details all updates, successful and unsuccessful, and displays any appropriate errors.
An exception report can be generated for a particular log creation date which contains all information extracted to the s_log_entry table for that date.

This job is accessed from the main menu.

• Scholarship Category
• Scholarship Offering Instance
• Check Manual Verification Criteria check box
• Remove Overridden Outcomes check box

Rules/Notes:

To verify Scholarships :

• Go to SCHJ0400
• Select value for Management Period
• Optionally select value(s) for and Scholarship Category and/or Scholarship Offering Instance
• Select check box(es) if required.
• Run job ASAP or schedule a time to run
• Check report for errors

Rules/Notes:

Do not select a Previous Log Creation Date.

A value must be selected for Management Period

• Select the Previous Log Creation
• Run the job
