This module extracts details required to create the selection list for students applying for positions in the International Postgraduate Research Scholarships Scheme. This process will extract the records into the output directory in a pipe symbol ('|') delimited format suitable for loading into Microsoft Excel.

This job runs in both Immediate and job Scheduler modes.

Refer to the Job Control and Scheduling (JBSINTR3) subsystem for details on scheduling and running standing requests.

Running this job produces the International Post Graduate Research Scholarship (IRPS) Selection List file. This job does not produce a report. It creates an Extract file, which is then viewed within Microsoft Excel.

Notes:

  • Using the same Output Filename as a file that already exists, results in the original file being overridden.
  • If there are two students with the same information in all aspects, both will be reported to the IPRS Scheme file.
  • Where a student has more than one Research Fields, Course and Disciplines, Field of Study Classification (RFCD) code defined with percentages that are not equal, display the RFCD code with the higher percentage.
  • Where a student has more than one RFCD code defined with Percentages that are equal, display the first RFCD code.
  • Where a student has more than one the Socio-Economic Objective Classification (SEO) code defined with percentages that are not equal, display the SEO code with the higher percentage.
  • Where a student has more than one SEO code defined with Percentages that are equal, display the first SEO code.

Parameters Tab:

  • Admission Period (LOV)
  • Rank Type (LOV)
  • Organisational Unit (LOV)
  • Scholarship Type (LOV)
  • Output Filename

Rules/Notes:

Admission Period

  • Returns Student Scholarship Applications that are within the selected Admission Period

Rank Type

  • Returns Student Scholarship Applications for the specified Rank Type

Organisational Unit

  • Returns Student Scholarship Applications that have a Rank Type of ORG-UNIT and Organisational Unit defined to their Rank Type

Scholarship Type

  • Returns Student Scholarship Applications for the specified Scholarship Type

Output Filename

  • The Name of the produced Extract File (this can be user defined)
