This form provides the user with the ability to maintain institution specific definitions for system defined prize statuses. These institution defined values are then used throughout the Prizes subsystem. Institution defined prize statuses are mapped to one of the following system defined prize statuses:

• PLANNED
• ACTIVE
• INACTIVE

This form is accessed from the main menu.

The Prize Status block contains:

• Prize Status
• Description
• System Prize Status
• Closed check box
• Explanation

Rules/Notes:

Use this form to record and maintain institution specific definitions for prize statuses. To record an institution defined prize status, perform the following:

1. Enter the name of the institution defined prize status in the Prize Status field.
2. Enter a description for the prize status in the Description field.
3. Select a System Prize Status from the System Prize Status LOV.
4. Select the Monetary check box if the prize type has a monetary component. If this check box is selected, a value has to be defined against the prize (refer to Maintain Prize Value, PRZF0140).
5. Selecting the Closed check box prevents the Prize Status from being selected as a prize status.

Rules/Notes:

A Prize Status record cannot be created for a closed System Prize Status.

A System Prize Status assigned to a Prize Status cannot be modified if the Prize Status has been associated with one or more prizes.

A Prize Status record cannot be opened if the mapped System Prize Status is closed.
