GENW0070 - Web Resource Customisation - New for Release 15.0

Overview

This page is used to customise text, labels and icon image paths on pages.
To access this page, simply log in to the CallistaSMS application, and locate the page either on the menu or via the Go To facility.

For Technical Information relating to Web Resource Customisation, refer to td_jsf_customisation.pdf which is included in the Callista Release Technical Documentation.

All static text and icon image paths in CallistaSMS pages are stored in Java Resource Bundles (a resource bundle is essentially a set of value-key pairs). GENW0070 allows these resource bundles to be overridden in the database.

On entry to this page select the System Web Resource that you wish to work with.

Field Descriptions

Field: Description:
System Web Resource

The CallistaSMS JSF product is divided into System Web Resources (similar to the way the forms product is divided in System Forms and System Jobs such as ENRF3000, FINJ3500, etc.).
Each System Web Resource corresponds to either a bounded task flow (TASK), a common library (LIB) or an application (APP).
GENW0070 groups customisations into these System Web Resources.

Description of the System Web Resource

Customisation Item Key Name of an item key defined for this System Resource Type.

To Display the Customisation Item Keys

A special feature in this page enables you to view resource bundle keys at runtime, which can assist in determining which keys correspond to which items of text on a page.

  1. Click on Display Customisation Item Keys and the static text on each page will be replaced with the keys of the resource bundle items which hold the static text values. Each key is prefixed with the name of the System Web Resource to which the key belongs.
    Note: While this is turned on it applies to all pages and all users will be able to see the customisation keys.
  2. To make the Item Keys no longer display, click on the Switch Off link on this page.

To Customise a System Web Resource

  1. Go to GENW0070.
  2. Select/Search for the System Web Resource that you wish to customise.
  3. Select the Customisation Item Key that you wish to customise.
  4. Click on Edit.
  5. Type in the new label in the Customisation Item Value Change.
  6. Click on Save.
  7. After creating, modifying or deleting any customisations, you must clear the cache to see the changes. To do this, simply click the Clear Cache button.
    Note: this clears the server cache – not the browser cache. Users should not have to clear the browser cache to see any changes.
