Purpose

The process is used to perform a bulk delete of extract records from the System Extract and System Extract Record Logs, that are deemed to be no longer required

Update Process

Callista jobs such as Testamur, Statement of Account and Enrolment forms produce extract files. These extracts can be accessed to produce reports in a format defined by the institution.

This job is used to remove from the System, extracts that have been recorded for greater than a specified period of time. For example, the job could be run nightly to delete all statement of account extract entries older than 28 days.

Run Details

This job is typically run:

• As a standing request in an 'off-peak' run window
• As frequently as the institution's Data Management regime requires, although it is recommended that the job be set to run approximately monthly

The Delete Extract Records block contains:

Parameters Tab

• System Extract Type
  Mandatory. Restricts the deletion of entries to a specific Extract Type. The Extract Type is an abbreviated name for the system Extract Type that produced the entry. A separate instance of this job must be requested to delete entries of each Extract Type. This allows entries of each Extract Type to be deleted at different ages.
• Days Old
  Specifying a number causes entries of the specified Extract Type to be deleted if they are older than that number of days.
