To maintain details of a student's Load Variation in context of a student Course Attempt.

The Maintain SCA Load Variation Details form allows you to maintain the details of a student’s load variation in context of a student course attempt. One or more load variations may be recorded.

A load variation may be requested by a current ESOS student (or other student) when certain circumstances cause the student to seek a reduced or increased load against their course attempt. For example, a student may request a reduction in their load in the coming semester due to a serious illness.
Multiple documents are able to be referenced, for example, if the institution has a supporting document that is to be associated with the load variation record. It is also possible to record a reference to an external document.

The form can be accessed in two ways:

• In context, via the Load Var button on the Student Course Attempt screen of the Record Enrolments form (ENRF3000). (The Load Var button is only available if the LOAD_VAR step is specified for an Enrolment Category with a Method Type of ADMIN and a Step Croup Type of COURSE.)
• Directly from the main menu.

The Student Course Attempt block contains:

• Person ID
• Sex
• Date Of Birth
• Course Attempt Status
• Course Version

The Student Load Variation block contains:

• Teaching Period - Calendar Type (LOV)
• Teaching Period - Start Date
• Teaching Period - End Date
• Other Period - Start Date
• Other Period - End Date
• Load Variation Type
• Variation Reason Code
• Variation Details
• Variation Type Description
• Variation Reason Description
• Date Authorised
• Authorised By

Rules/Notes:

Load Variation details can only be recorded if the course attempt status is ENROLLED, INACTIVE OR INTERMIT.

If accessing the form directly from the Main Menu, in the Student Course Attempt block use the down or up arrow to access different course versions for the specified student record.
