Purpose

To update Units associated with Course Plan Structure Components where the System Component Type is equal to 'UNITS' and the Units have been defined by an SQL statement.

This job updates Units within a Course Plan Component, where the System Component Type is equal to UNITS and where the Units have been defined by an SQL statement.
The job finds all opened Components, and for those Components of Component Category UNITS that have SQL defined it will:

• Execute the SQL statement defined for the Component.
• Remove the static list of current Units derived from the previous SQL statement execution for the Component.
• Insert the new results set of Units from the executed SQL statement into the static list of Units for the Component.

If an error occurs when executing an SQL statement then the processing for that Component will stop and an error will be added to the report log; however the processing of any remaining Components will still continue.
