Purpose

To allow the Grouping of Activity Offerings for a Unit Offering Option

The purpose of this function is to enable the definition of Activity Groups associated with a Unit Offering Option.

The main reasons to create Activity Groups are:

• Activity Offering Sequencing (the order of Activity Offerings, e.g. it may be a requirement that the tutorial is undertaken before the practical).
• Activity Offering Pattern (Activity Offerings may alternate over time, e.g. a tutorial may alternate with a practical every second week).
  

A Display Order (for use in the Self Serve Facility) must be recorded for each Unit Offering Option Activity Group.

In order for students to be allocated to a Unit Offering Option Activity Group, offerings of the activity must first be associated to the group. The Activity Offering are created in CRSF2800.

For each Activity Offering the Teaching Week Delivery Pattern of the activity will be recorded.

The Unit Offering Option block contains:

• Unit Code
• Version Number
• Sector
• Unit Status
• Title
• Calendar Type
• Start Date
• End Date
• Location
• Unit Class

The Activity Group block contains:

• Activity Group Code
• Real Limit
• Published Limit
• Minimum Limit
• Actual Places
• Offered check box
• SSF Avail check box
• Display Order
• Include Deleted Groups check box
• Deletion Date

• Activity Offering ID

• Query a Unit Offering Option, ie. query the Unit Code
• Enter the Activity Group Code
• Enter the Real Limit
• Enter the Published Limit
• Enter the Minimum Limit
• If applicable, check the Offered check box
• If applicable, check the SSF Available check box
• Enter the Display Order
• Enter the Description
• Enter any applicable comments etc, in the field provide when you click he MORE button
• Save

Rules/Notes:

A Unit Offering Option Activity Group cannot be inserted, updated or deleted if the parent Unit Version is inactive.

Activity Group code cannot be updated.

Display order must be unique across Unit Offering Option Activity Groups and Unit Offering Option activities.

• Find the record to be modified
• Modify the record as required
• Save

To create a new Group Activity Offering:

• Enter the Activity Offering ID manually, or from the LOV.

Rules/Notes:

All the Activity Offering information that is displayed after selecting the ID from the LOV, is from CRSF2800.

Cannot enter an Activity Offering that is not offered.

Activity Offerings must have instances in the Weeks.

• Find the record to be deleted
• Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted
• Delete record
• Save

Rules/Notes:

A Date will appear in the Deletion Date field, which records the Date which the Group Activity Offering was deleted.

By checking the Include Deleted Offerings checkbox, the user can then query and view logically deleted records.
