CRSF2893 - Maintain Activity Configuration

Purpose

To configure Date Aliases for use with Activity Offering data

SubSystem Course Structure and Planning
Normally Run By Course/Planning Specialist
Anticipated Frequency Before the commencement of the Course Year, or as required
Structure Block  Activity Configuration 

 

This form, allows the user to define the Date Aliases, which are required throughout the Activity Offering process.

 

The Activity Configuration block contains:

  • Reserved Places Cutoff Date Alias
  • Timetable Start Date Alias
  • Timetable End Date Alias
  • First Week Date Alias
  • Invalid Unit Activity Removal Date Alias
  • Perform Reserved Validation check box

Rules/Notes:

If the Perform Reserved Validation check box is checked, the OSCAR registration form hides the radio buttons for those classes which are not currently available to the student.

To create a new Configuration record:
  • Select the Configuration Alias Type you wish to set
  • Select the Date Alias from the corresponding LOVs
  • Save

Rules/Notes:

Timetable start Date Alias, Timetable end Date Alias, and First Week Date Alias, must all be set before Activity Offering Instances can be created.

To modify a Configuration record:
  • Find the record to be modified
  • Modify the record as required
  • Save
 

Rules/Notes:

Once in use, a Date Alias should not be modified.

  To clear a Configuration record:
  • Find the record to be cleared
  • Locate the cursor in the record to be cleared
  • Clear record
  • Save
