CRSF2540 - Maintain Unit Offering Opt Explanation

Purpose

The purpose of this function is to record one or more Explanations for a Unit Offering Option
SubSystem Course Structure and Planning
Normally Run By Course/Planning Specialist
Anticipated Frequency Before the commencement of the Course Year, or as required

Unit Offering Option Explanation

 

Each Explanation will provide students and staff with further information about a Unit Offering Option. Explanations will be used primarily to provide students with information about the activity requirements for each Unit Offering Option, as an aid in the Activity Allocation process.

Each Explanation will be assigned a System Explanation Type and Description. The following are examples of Unit Offering Option Activity System Explanations:

System Explanation Type - Activity Description - For use in Self Serve Facility Activity Allocation applications.

Unit Class Day Evening Day
Activity Explanation Must attend one lecture and one tutorial and one practical each week. Must select a tutorial that follows the selected lecture. Must attend one lecture every week and must attend tutorial once every two weeks and practical every alternate week (same day and time as tutorial).

The Unit Offering Option block contains:

  • Unit Code
  • Version Number
  • Status
  • Unit Status
  • Title
  • Calendar Type
  • Start Date
  • End Date
  • Location
  • Unit Class

The Unit Offering Option Explanation block contains:

  • System Explanation Type
  • Description
  • Explanation

 

To create a new Explanation:

  • Enter Insert mode
  • Select the System Explanation Type from the LOV
  • Enter the corresponding Explanation into the Explanation field
  • Save
