Unit Internal Course Level

Some institutions use a 'Weighting' system, applied to Study Units, to model resource allocation to their organisational units. The name Unit Internal Course Level refers to an attribute assigned to a Unit for internal institution purposes where the value is determined according to the Type and Year Level of the Course being undertaken. The table below illustrates a possible application of this concept.

This table describes the grouping of Units in terms of Course Level for WEFTSL, where

WEFSTL = EFTSL * discipline.funding_index * unit_course_level.factor.
