CRSF1281 - Mntn Course Off Unit Set Relationships

Purpose

To allow the creation and maintenance of Unit Set Relationships

This form is used to create and maintain the hierarchical relationship structure that may exist between Unit Sets within a Course Offering. Relationships are created between Unit Sets to assist in defining the path of study and progression of Student Course Attempts. For example, in order to study a particular Minor, a student must also be taking its Superior Major Unit Set.

This form is entered via the Course Offering Unit Set Relationship button in the Maintain Course Offering Unit Sets form (CRSF1280).

The form is entered in context displaying the Course Offering Unit Set in the Course Offering Unit Set block. Any previously attached Superior and Subordinate Unit Sets are also displayed.

The Superior Course Offering Unit Set block contains:

  • Superior Unit Set
  • Version
  • Title

The Course Offering Unit Set block contains:

  • Course Code
  • Course Version
  • Calendar Type
  • Unit Set Code
  • Unit Set Version
  • Only as Subordinate check box

The Subordinate Unit Set block contains:

  • Version
  • Title

 

This form is used to create Superior and Subordinate Unit Set relationships for the Course Offering Unit Set displayed. Queries can also be performed on Course Offering Unit Sets.

To create a Superior or Subordinate relationship, select a Unit Set from the LOV in the appropriate block. The LOV is restricted to those Unit Sets that have been applied to the Course Offering.

The zoom buttons , permits the adjacent records to be dropped or elevated into the Course Offering Unit Set block allowing its Superior and Subordinate Unit Sets, if any, to be displayed.

Rules/Notes:

Where a Unit Set has the Only as Subordinate check box selected in the Maintain Course Offering Unit Sets form (CRSF1280), only Superior relationships can be created against the Unit Set.
