To allow the creation and maintenance of Government Citizenship Codes in accordance with the DEST Documentation for the Higher Education Student Collection

The Citizenship Codes button links to ENRF0140 (Maintain Citizenship Code)

Explanation

This form is used to record and maintain the set of Government Citizenship Codes. Universities are required to report to Government each student's status in relation to Australian citizenship. The codes for reporting this data are DEST manual (specified in the element 358). Where a set of institution defined Citizenship Codes has been defined (ENRF0140), each must be mapped to a particular Government Citizenship Code.

 

To create a new Government Citizenship Code record using the Maintain Government Citizenship Codes form:

  • Enter Insert mode
  • Enter the new Citizenship Code in the Govt Citizenship Code field of a blank record
  • Enter the corresponding description for the Citizenship Code in the Description field
  • Save

 

 

To modify a Government Citizenship Code record using the Maintain Government Citizenship Codes form:

  • Find the record to be modified
  • Modify the record as required
  • Save

 

Rules/Notes:

A Government Citizenship Code can only be modified where the change is to correct an incorrectly entered description.

To delete a Government Citizenship Code record using the Maintain Government Citizenship Codes form:

  • Find the record to be deleted
  • Locate the cursor in the record to be deleted
  • Delete record
  • Save

Rules/Notes:

A Government Citizenship Code cannot be deleted if it has been assigned to a user defined Citizenship Code. It can be closed, preventing any further use, by selecting the Closed check box.
