The Security Restriction Object block contains:

Explanation

A restriction object is a name used to identify a particular security restriction. A restriction object relates to a specific restriction table. Restriction objects are defined by the restriction table to which they apply.

To create a restriction object using the Maintain Restriction Objects form:

• Enter Insert Mode
• Enter a name for the restriction object in the Restriction Object field
• Select the restriction table to be associated with this restriction object from the list of values in the Restriction Table field
• Enter any notes regarding this restriction object in the Notes field
• Save

Rules:

The convention for naming restriction objects is to use the field name of the restricted data field with the suffix '_r'. For example, to restrict access to certain calendar types the restriction object would be named cal_type_r.

To delete a restriction object using the Maintain Restriction Objects form:

• Select the desired record
• Delete record
• Save
