Purpose

To allow the maintenance of institution defined Unit Rules and the definition of Unit Rule Sets

Rules

The Unit block contains:

• Unit Code
• Title

The Unit Rule block contains:

• Rule Call Name
• Set Call Name
• Set Name

The Rule Set Member block contains:

• Unit Code
• Title

Use this temporary form to maintain unit rules.

Refer to Enrolment Rule Checking and Unit Rule Validation for a description of unit rules.

Query the unit for which rules are to be created (subject unit) in the Unit block.

Select (or enter) the rule to be applied in the Unit Rule block.

Select (or enter) the rule set name in the Unit Rule Set block.

Enter (or select) the units to be included in the rule in the Rule Set Member block.

Repeat for other rule sets, unit rules or subject units as required.

Rules/Notes:

Unit rules and rule sets cannot be created in this form. That functionality is a future development. Only those rules and sets recorded in the database at this time are able to be used.

There are four types of unit rules which are defined in Unit Rule Validation. Each has one or more unit rule sets associated with it.
