The data maintained by this function is used to determine the Admission Periods available for selection for each Course Offering Option selected in the Applicant Portal, for both domestic and international applicants.

Course Offering Option

The Course Offering Option block displays a Course Offering Option, queried, or in context from CRSF1400. It also displays the default Course Offering Option availability for both domestic and international applicants, as defined in CRSF1400.

Admission Calendar Type Restriction

An Admission Calendar Type Restriction can be used to override the default Domestic and/or International availability of the Course Offering Option to the students using the Applicant Portal, for the specified Admission Calendar Type(s).

This form can be accessed in context from in CRSF1400 via the Admission Calendar Type Restriction button, or else it can be accessed in Query Mode from the Callista menu.

 

The Course Offering Option block contains:

  • Course Code
  • Version Number
  • Sector
  • Course Status
  • Title
  • Calendar Type
  • Location Code
  • Att Mode
  • Att Type
  • Applicant Portal Domestic Availability checkbox
  • Applicant Portal International Availability checkbox

The Admission Calendar Type Restriction block contains:

  • Admission Calendar Type
  • Description
  • Applicant Portal Override Availability Domestic (poplist)
  • Applicant Portal Override Availability International (poplist)

Rules/Notes:

The Domestic and International Applicant Portal Availability checkboxes inherit their values from those set for this Course Offering Option in CRSF1400.

 

To define a Course Offering Admission Calendar Type Restriction for a particular Course Offering Option:

  • Display the Course Offering Option (either by entering in context from CRSF1400, or by querying in the Course Offering Option block (if accessed directly from the Callista menu).
  • Select the Admission Calendar Type for which you which you wish to create an override.
  • Use the poplists to select the appropriate values for Domestic and/or International Applicant Portal Availability Overrides.
  • Save the record.

Rules/Notes:

Applicant Portal Availability:

  • DEFAULT– availability of the COO for domestic/international applicants in a specific Admission Calendar Type is based on the COO availability defined in CRSF1400
  • AVAILABLE– the COO is available for domestic/international applicants in the selected Admission Calendar Type, irrespective of the COO availability defined in CRSF1400
  • NOT-AVAIL– the COO is not available for domestic applicants in the selected Admission Calendar Type, irrespective of the COO availability defined in CRSF1400.

If no Course Offering Option Admission Calendar Type Restriction records are created for a specific Course Offering Option, the availability of the Course Offering Option in the Applicant Portal will be determined by the Course Offering Option availability defined in CRSF1400 (and displayed in the Course Offering Option block in this form).

When entering the form, if the System Course Status of the context Course Version is INACTIVE, an error message should be displayed to the user. The detail block is ‘query only' if the system course status of the context course version is ‘INACTIVE'.

If the System Calendar Category Type is closed it cannot be selected in the Course Offering Admission Calendar Type Restriction block.
