CORF2200 - Maintain Correspondence Categories

Purpose

To allow the recording of institution defined Correspondence Categories and their association with Correspondence Types

Use this form to record Correspondence Categories determined by your institution.

Correspondence Categories cannot be deleted if they have any other data associated with them. Close them, preventing further use, instead.

Associate with the selected Correspondence Category the Correspondence Types which students in that category are eligible to receive.

The Correspondence Category block contains:

  • Include Deleted Items check box
    Correspondence Category items are logically deleted. To view all deleted items for the Correspondence Category, select the Include Deleted Items check box and re-query the bottom block.
  • Correspondence Category
  • Description
  • Closed check box

The Correspondence Category Item block contains:

  • Correspondence Type
  • Block When Encumbered check box
    Selecting this check box stops the issuing of items of that Correspondence Type to students with an Encumbrance which has an effect such as S_COR_BLK - System generated correspondence blocked or SUS_SRVC - All services withdrawn.
  • Creation Date
    The automatically entered Creation Date is the date on which this relationship record was created.
  • Deletion Date
  • System Generated check box
    The System Generated check box is set in CORF2110.

Rules/Notes:

The Correspondence Categories recorded here are assigned to individual Student Course Attempts. This determines the items of correspondence which the students are eligible to receive.

Only one item of a current Correspondence Type can be associated with a Correspondence Category at any time.
