Purpose

To allow the recording of Applicant Portal Transfer Statuses

Use this form to create and maintain institution-defined Applicant Portal Transfer Statuses. Each transfer status will be mapped to a System Transfer Status. Each system status should have one transfer status set as its default.

A Transfer Status will be assigned to an Applicant Portal application to denote the different outcomes of the process. These statuses will also be used by Administrators to identify which records may need issue resolution and which records should not be loaded into SMS.

The Applicant Portal Transfer Status block contains:

• Applicant Portal Transfer Status
• Description
• System Applicant Portal Transfer Status
• System Default check box
• Closed check box
• Explanation

Rules/Notes:

The Explanation field is optional. Where text is entered in this field it is available to the Applicant Portal.

To record an Applicant Portal Transfer Status:

• Record Applicant Portal Transfer Status and Description.
• Select a System Applicant Portal Transfer Status.
• If appropriate, select the System Default checkbox.
• If required, add text to the Explanation text box.
• Save the record.

Rules/Notes:

You are unable to select a System Applicant Portal Transfer Status that is closed.

If a second Applicant Portal Transfer Status is set to be the System Default value, then an error message will display: One, and only one, System Applicant Portal Transfer Status must have the System Default check box selected.

If a System Applicant Portal Transfer Status has the System Default check box selected, then it cannot be closed.

Once used in the System, Applicant Portal Transfer Statuses cannot be deleted. Select the Closed check box to prevent further use.
